Kepler Track Transport - Easy access to Te Anau's closest Greatest Walk
Catch the boat from the Te Anau lakefront across to Brod Bay and you will be on the track in 15 minutes ready and fresh to tackle the entire 3 - 4 day loop track or one of the Kepler's unforgettable day walks...
Mt Luxmore - Walk up to the summit of Mt Luxmore for very rewarding views of the Te Anau township and Inst worthy South Fiord from 1,472m. Allow 7-8 hours return.
10km Round the Bay - Catch the water taxi to Brod Bay then enjoy an easy going 2.5 hour (10km) walk back to Te Anau following the lakefront through native bush on the Kepler Track, linking up with the Lake2Lake Cycle Trail & the Te Anau Bird Park.

Kepler Water Taxi departs Te Anau Lakefront to Brod Bay at 8.30am, 9.30am and 10.30am daily and returns 4.30pm.

Milford Track Transport - Access to NZ's most famous hiking track
Experience the 4 day Milford Track, NZ’s most famous hiking track.
Milford Track transport is available from October - May. Boat departures available from 8.30am, last return from Sandfly Point 4.30pm. Bus departs Te Anau at 7.15am, returns 4pm

Alternatively opt for a Milford Track day walk away from the crowds departing from Te Anau Downs or Te Anau.
Self-drive to Te Anau Downs or catch the bus from Te Anau. Enjoy a scenic boat ride across picturesque Lake Te Anau to the start of the track at Glade Wharf, arriving at the trailhead away from the crowds. On your walk up to Clinton Hut, soak up lush green rainforests and alpine views, and listen out for the many native birds that thrive here. Enjoy your lunch at Clinton Hut before returning to meet the boat at 4pm for the return trip.
An easy-going day walk 3.5 hour / 10km return day walk. Suitable for most ages and abilities.

Available from October - May. 11.30am boat departure Te Anau Downs to Milford Track, return 4pm. 11am bus departs Te Anau, returns 5pm.
